New beginnings

Back in September of last year we had to leave the smallholding we were renting and  move back to our house in the village.  To begin with we found this hard, as we did not leave by choice, leaving all the things we had worked on over the past ten years.  Taste of Belvoir was changing….

Our own little Ivy Cottage had been rented out all this time to various families who had made it their home.  So it was strange to come back knowing that other people had lived there, making their mark on the place.  Slowly over the past few months we have been getting familiar again with its quirky rooms and remembering how excited we were when first moved up to the lovely vale of Belvoir from busy Brighton.   The garden had largely been ignored and was overgrown and neglected.  Plants had died and nothing had been pruned so shrubs, hedges and trees were straggly and desparate for a ‘good haircut’.  So slowly over the past few months we have been making new plans, and starting to look forward to the future.
